Job description:
- Seasonal creation of menus as well as menus for events
- Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
- Cultivating a positive working environment for kitchen staff to work in
- Evaluating and advising with regards to working processes and procedures
- Staying informed about future trends and focusing on continuous improvement of the food offering to ensure that guests have a positive experience
- Assisting with supplier selection and negotiation
- Managing stock levels and placing orders with (existing) suppliers
- Ensuring that all equipment is used and maintained properly
- Takes on extra duties, when needed
- Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team
Job requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- HACCP certificate
- Excellent social, communication and leadership skills
- Positive mindset and attitude
- Guest experience focused
- Feeling for responsibility
- Proactive and initiative taker
- Proactive and initiative taker
- English language speaker, Dutch is a pro
