Job description:

  • Seasonal creation of menus as well as menus for events
  • Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
  • Cultivating a positive working environment for kitchen staff to work in
  • Evaluating and advising with regards to working processes and procedures
  • Staying informed about future trends and focusing on continuous improvement of the food offering to ensure that guests have a positive experience
  • Assisting with supplier selection and negotiation
  • Managing stock levels and placing orders with (existing) suppliers
  • Ensuring that all equipment is used and maintained properly
  • Takes on extra duties, when needed
  • Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team

Job requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • HACCP certificate
  • Excellent social, communication and leadership skills
  • Positive mindset and attitude
  • Guest experience focused
  • Feeling for responsibility
  • Proactive and initiative taker
  • Proactive and initiative taker
  • English language speaker, Dutch is a pro
